BillDada is a billing, stock and customer-dues app for shops in India. This policy explains what the app and our servers keep, why, and the choices you have. By using BillDada you accept it.
Who we are
BillDada (“we”, “us”) provides the app and the servers that back up your data. To ask anything about this policy or your data, write to billdada.in@gmail.com.
What we keep
- Your account: name, mobile number, optional email address and password. The password is kept only as a salted hash, never as readable text.
- Your shop: name, address, GST number, UPI ID, bank details, logo and bill settings, if you enter them.
- Your records: items, categories, customers, suppliers, their phone numbers and dues, bills, payments, expenses, day-close counts, stock and any photos you add.
- Technical logs: when the app talks to our servers, standard request logs (such as IP address, time and kind of request) are kept for security and to fix problems.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your location, phone contacts, SMS, calls or microphone, and we use no advertising or analytics tools. The camera is used only on your phone, to scan a barcode or take an item photo. A photo is uploaded only if you add it to an item or your shop.
Where it is kept
Your data is on your phone. When you are online, a copy is also stored on BillDada’s servers, hosted by Cloudflare, so you can use the app on another phone and get your data back if you lose this one. Data travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
How we use it
Only to run the app for you: to show your records, back them up, restore them and keep your account secure. We do not sell your data, we show no ads and we do not use your data for anything else.
Who can see it
Only you, and anyone you give your login or phone to. We share nothing with other businesses, except the hosting provider that stores the data for us. We do not contact your customers: a WhatsApp message or UPI payment starts only when you tap Share, Remind or Pay, and you send it yourself. We may disclose data if the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting
Your data stays until you delete it. Log out removes the copy on this phone. More › Delete account permanently deletes your shop, bills, items, customers and photos from this phone and from our servers. This cannot be undone. You can also write to us to ask for deletion.
Your rights
You can see and change your shop data any time in the app, and export it from More › Backup and export. You may ask us what we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by writing to billdada.in@gmail.com.
Children
BillDada is made for shop owners and is not meant for children under 18.
Security
We use encrypted connections and hashed passwords, but no system is completely secure. Keep your password and phone safe, and use the Owner PIN when helpers use your phone.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will appear in the app and on our website with a new date.
